Defcredit becomes Defence Bank from 1 February 2012On 28 November at our 2011 Annual General Meeting, our members voted for us to become Defence Bank.
Being a bank lets us increase our competitiveness and will enable us to take advantage of growth opportunities and become better at what we do. At the same time, because we remain a member owned bank, we will continue to operate to benefit our members.
Becoming a bank also gives us the ability to provide even more products and enhanced services to our members and we will continue to provide competitive fees for our members.
Whilst this is an exciting and historical change, essentially, it will be ‘business as usual’ apart from the new products and extra services we’re developing specifically to meet our members’ needs.

What will change?

From 1 February 2012, you will start to see us updating our branches, website and printed materials with our new name and logo.

- We will remain committed to delivering personalised friendly service to our members
- We will continue to focus on developing new products to meet the needs of our members and retain our competitive fee structure
- We remain committed to our branch network.
