DHOAS Construction Advantage


Our DHOAS Construction Advantage Home Loan gives eligible Australian Defence Force (ADF) members the flexibility to build your own home while taking advantage of DHOAS subsidies. You'll also save with no ongoing annual or monthly fees with this construction home loan.

The Defence Home Ownership Assistance Scheme (DHOAS) recognises the important contribution members of the ADF make to Australia. The Scheme provides subsidies for monthly mortgage repayments on an eligible DHOAS home loan and is designed to help you purchase or pay off your home sooner.

Features of DHOAS Construction Advantage Home Loan include:

  • Maximum loan to value ratio of 95% (for loans under $750K)
  • No annual fee
  • No monthly fee
  • Unlimited free redraw (minimum of $100 after the interest only period has expired on variable rate loans)
  • Interest only repayments (construction phase only)
  • Split loan facility (up to two facilities at draw down)
  • Loan portability*
  • Additional payments allowed (except interest only period)
  • Maximum term of 30 years
  • No application fee (solicitor, valuation and progress valuation fees at cost, and a settlement fee of $275 applies).
