Defence Bank Mobile Banking, the way you like it


Defence Bank Mobile Banking has arrived, making access to your money even easier. It's free to access and use* on most smartphones. It gives you convenient access to your Defence Bank accounts and lets you:

  • Check account balances
  • Transfer money to other accounts
  • Pay bills via BPAY
  • View recent transactions
  • View your Auto Transfers.


To register for Defence Bank Mobile Banking


To register for Mobile Banking, you must first be registered for Defence Bank Online Banking, then follow the instructions below.

1.
Login to Defence Bank Online Banking

Click on the “Maintenance” tab, at the top right hand corner of the screen
3.
From the menu on the left hand side, click “Contact Details”. Ensure the mobile phone number recorded is your current mobile phone number^
4.
Click “Save Details”
5.
From the menu on the left hand side, click “Mobile Preferences”
6.
Read the amendments to Defence Bank’s Products and Services Conditions of Use
7.
Check the checkbox beside each account that you would like to access via Mobile Banking
8.
Click “Save my Mobile Banking Preferences”.

You are now registered for Defence Bank Mobile Banking!

Not registered for Defence Bank Online Banking? Complete this form and return it to your local branch or fax it to (03) 8624 5892.

To login to Defence Bank Mobile Banking

On your smartphone, open your Internet browser and visit https://secure.defencebank.com.au/mobi. You will see a similar login screen to the image below:


Add this webpage to your bookmarks and create an icon on your homepage. For iPhone instructions, see below**. For other phone models, refer to your user manual. Once an icon is added, it will look like this:


To Login, use your Defence Bank Online Banking Member Number and Password.

^ When you make a transaction via Mobile Banking, an SMS Confirmation Number will be sent to your mobile phone recorded in your Online Banking Contact Details to enable you to authorise the transaction. You will use that SMS Confirmation Number to authorise the transaction instead of a transaction authentication password or VIP Credential. You do not need an SMS Confirmation Number to validate transactions between accounts held with us under your member number. Please ensure you have read Defence Bank’s Products and Services Conditions of Use which can be found by
clicking here.

** Using an iPhone, press the “+” button on the bottom of the screen, then select “Add to Home Screen”. An icon will then be displayed on the home screen of your iPhone and look similar to that shown above.
