Information about our upcoming AGM.

In light of the continuing uncertainty around COVID-19 restrictions, the Board of Defence Bank has decided to hold the 2021 Annual General Meeting virtually. The health and safety of our members, our employees and the broader community, is paramount.

Instructions for participating in the meeting (including how to vote and how to ask questions) is outlined both in the Notice of Meeting and summarised below.

Registration opens at 0930hrs with the AGM commencing at 1000hrs and expected to conclude by 1100hrs.

What you can expect on the day.

You will be able to view a live online webcast of the meeting, submit questions to the Directors and Executives and be able to vote in real time. When you log onto the AGM platform on the morning of the AGM, you will need to provide your details (including member number and your personalised PIN that was either emailed to you, or sent to you by mail) to be verified as a member or proxyholder.

If a member is unable to participate virtually and vote at the AGM, they are entitled to appoint a proxy to attend virtually and vote on their behalf. To do so please complete the below Proxy Voting Form to appoint the Chairman of the AGM as their proxy or insert the name of their alternative proxy in the space provided. Completed forms should be sent to info@defencebank.com.au, preferably prior to midday on Friday, 19 November 2021*.

Link will contact proxyholders at least 24 hours prior to the start of the AGM to provide them with the proxyholder login information that they will need to enter into the online AGM platform.

Why is the AGM online?

The AGM is a large scale event that must be planned well in advance. Due to the restrictions currently in place for larger gatherings, it has been decided that the safest option will be to hold a virtual AGM via online facilities.

What do I need to access the AGM?

You'll need a device with internet access, such as a desktop computer, laptop, tablet or smartphone. Further details on browser requirements, including a step by step guide, is outlined above under the section "What you can expect on the day".

What do I do if I have difficulty logging on?

If you have having difficulty with your access, please double check that you meet the minimum browser requirements outlined in the above "What you can expect on the day" section. If you still have difficulty logging on, please contact Link Market Services on 1800 990 363.
