Defence Bank Welcomes Government’s Veterans Announcement

Defence Bank today welcomed the announcement by the Federal Government to appoint a permanent independent commissioner to investigate veteran suicide and other important related measures to support Veterans and their families.

Defence Bank CEO David Marshall said:

“Today’s announcement shows just how seriously all of us need to take and are taking the issue of mental health, including its impact on Veterans.”

“We welcome the appointment of the new National Commissioner for Defence and Suicide Prevention and the establishment of the Veteran Family Advocate that will help shape policy including on mental health.”
