Dispatch Autumn 2017

Welcome to the autumn edition of Dispatch, your member newsletter.

Our members are at the forefront of everything we do at Defence Bank.
As such, we have continued to focus on initiatives that enhance your banking experience.

As part of Defence Bank’s ongoing commitment to you, we have recently launched three new transactional accounts tailored to meet the needs of our members:

  • Teen Saver
  • Cadet Saver
  • Reservist Saver

In addition, our members can now access Apple Pay. We are proud to be one of only a handful of banks in Australia to offer this fantastic service to our members, making it even easier for you to do your day-to-day banking.

New Products

At Defence Bank we are always looking for ways to improve your banking experience, in line with this we are proud to release three new transactional accounts. Each one is built around the needs and wants of our members. All three accounts offer great access with Visa Card, Apple Pay, Android Pay, Mobile and Online Banking.

Teen Saver

The Defence Bank Teen Saver is a great account that has been created with teens in mind, having no fees and a great interest rate for savings.

Cadet Saver

Offering no fees for Cadets and a great interest rate for savings, the Cadet Saver can be linked to a Visa Debit Card or a rediCARD.

Reservist Saver

Based on our popular Everyday Access Account, our Reservist Saver only requires you to deposit $200 or more in direct credits per calendar month to waive the monthly account servicing fee.

Apple Pay

Using Apple Pay is simple and it works with the Apple devices you use every day. Your card information is secure because it is not stored on your device or shared when you make payments.

Eliminating the need for cash, you can easily pay using both your debit and credit cards with just a touch.

Recently completed Branches include Enoggera, Amberley, Canungra, Albatross, Russell and Duntroon with work also underway at Kapooka and RAAF Townsville.

Defence Community Dogs (DCD) Launch

The Defence Bank Foundation’s agreement with the Young Diggers Dog Squad officially ended in 2016. Seeing the positive impact that Companion Therapy Dogs have had on the lives of serving and ex-serving Australian Defence Force (ADF) members, we created Defence Community Dogs.

DCD is fully funded by The Defence Bank Foundation, a registered charity which raises funds to support serving and ex-serving ADF members suffering from injuries or illnesses such as Post-traumatic stress disorder.
