On 31 March 2021, the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) will mark 100 years of service to Australia.
To celebrate, we are giving away ten Bausele limited-edition AF100 Centenary watches, each containing an actual piece of aviation history, as monthly and major prizes.
What can I win?
Monthly prize.
The Airfield RRP $499 (eight to be won). The Airfield watch was designed in collaboration with the Australian Air Force, taking inspiration from the official issue RAAF Pilot watches from the 1940s and 1950s, previously commissioned by Jaeger LeCoultre and IWC. The Airfield incorporates an actual piece cut from the Caribou (DHC-4) aircraft #A4-208 and has the trusted Caribou embossed on the case back of this designer automatic watch.
Major prize.
The Aviator RRP $1,200 (two to be won). The Aviator watch looks to the future and takes inspiration from the cornerstone of the Air Force centenary celebrations: Now. Then. Always. Designed by Bausele Founder, Christo Hoppe, in collaboration with the Air Force Centenary team, the watch is a Swiss-made automatic loaded with many unique and high-end features, making it a true collector’s watch. The Aviator features a genuine piece of aircraft number A21-01, cut from the first F/A-18A Hornet fighter jet made and flown in Australia.
When to enter.
This competition will start on the RAAF 100 year birthday, 31 March and end 29 October 2021.
How to enter.
Major prize draw.
All Defence Bank RAAF members, both currently serving and ex-serving, and RAAF contractors, will automatically enter the major prize draw.
Monthly prize draw.
Entrants from the RAAF will automatically enter the monthly prize draw upon opening a new Defence Bank membership during the competition period.
All winners must have an active Defence Bank account at the time of the draw.

Defence Bank RAAF Centenary draw opens from 8:00am AEST on Wednesday 31 March 2021 until 5:00pm AEST on Friday 29 October 2021 (competition period). Total aggregate value of all prizes on offer is $6,392, made up of eight (8) monthly prizes and two (2) major prizes. The monthly prize is a limited edition Bausele watch ‘The Air Field’ worth $499. The major prize is a limited edition Bausele watch ‘The Aviator’ worth $1,200.
To be eligible to win a major prize, entrants must be either a current or ex-serving member of the RAAF, or a RAAF Defence Industry Contractor and have an active account at the time of the draw. To be eligible to enter the monthly draw, RAAF entrants must open a new Defence Bank membership during the competition period and it must still be open at the time of the draw.
Winners will be selected at random from all eligible entries. One person may not win more than one (1) of the eight (8) monthly prizes on offer however they can win a monthly prize and a major prize.
Members must be over the age of eighteen (18) years. The random monthly draw will take place on 11:00am during the following days: 11/4/2021, 11/05/2021, 15/06/2021, 13/07/2021, 10/08/2021, 13/09/2021, 12/10/2021 and 9/11/2021 at Defence Bank head office at level 5/31 Queen Street, Melbourne VIC 3000. The major prize will be drawn at 11:00am Tuesday 9/11/2021.
Winners will be notified by phone and email within 24hrs of each draw. Any winner who fails to contact Defence Bank within two weeks of being notified of their win will forfeit their prize and a redraw would take place on either: 26/4/2021, 26/05/2021, 30/06/2021, 28/07/2021, 25/08/2021, 28/09/2021, 27/10/2021 and 24/11/2021 on 11:00am at 5/31 Queen Street, Melbourne VIC 3000.
Winners will be published on the day of the relevant monthly draw on the Defence Bank website at defencebank.com.au.
Winners are required to collect their prize from a selected Defence Bank branch of their choice. Defence Bank reserves the right to withdraw this raffle at any time.
