Defence Bank Recognised with Two Australian HR Awards

Defence Bank has been recognised on the national stage, winning Best Workplace Flexibility Program and CEO HR Champion of the Year for CEO Roberto Scenna at the Australian HR Awards. These awards celebrate organisations and leaders who place people at the centre of their strategy and create environments where employees can thrive.

The recognition reflects Defence Bank's ongoing commitment to building a workplace where people feel supported, connected and empowered to do their best work.

Central to the awards is Defence Bank's Work-Life-Fit program, which provides employees with greater flexibility to balance work with family, wellbeing, study, volunteering and personal commitments. Built on trust, accountability and a focus on outcomes, the program continues to be one of the most valued aspects of working at Defence Bank.

Roberto Scenna's recognition as CEO HR Champion of the Year highlights his commitment to fostering a people-first culture. Since joining Defence Bank, Rob has championed initiatives that strengthen employee engagement, leadership development, recognition and wellbeing, helping create an environment where people can grow and succeed.

“As a member-owned bank serving the Defence community, we know great member experiences start with great employee experiences. That's why we continue to invest in our people, fostering flexibility, wellbeing and a culture where everyone feels valued, supported and proud of the role they play in helping those who protect Australia.” Roberto Scenna, Chief Executive Officer.
