We recognise and fully support the crucial role of Defence spouses, and we're proud to partner with Beck Rayner, the founder of the Military Life (MWL) community.
Beck's exceptional work through MWL not only provides a safe space for ADF spouses to connect socially but also offers valuable information and stories that address the unique challenges faced by spouses in her community. Visit the MWL website here.
Australian soldiers receive some of the best military training in the world, with several important phases to their training.
To acknowledge the standout effort of the best soldier to complete phase 2 - Infantry Employment Training (IET) at Lone Pine Barracks - a gruelling 14 weeks of training, the Most Outstanding Soldier Award is presented and supported by Defence Bank. A total of 15 awards are presented throughout the year.
The HMAS Stirling Walk To Work Day and Causeway Classic Fun Run is held in the name of fitness and wellbeing at all levels.
This event is extremely popular as the causeway connecting Garden Island, five kilometres off the Western Australian coast, is not normally open to pedestrians. Attracting hundreds of locals each year, either participating or supporting, there is something for everyone with entertainment and children’s rides at the finish line.
